The board was easy to install and it performs well. For years I have been using Gigabyte mobos to build my systems around. The reason for four stars (and I even considered giving it three stars) are some issues that I discovered with BIOS. BIOS, itself is easy to configure and self explanatory. But when it comes to boot priority, it has some problems. I set up my boot order to be DVD drive followed by the SSD. As long as a DVD is in a drive, all is fine. If DVD drive is empty, when it comes to booting from SSD, the system hangs with only the blinking cursor on an empty screen. If I boot from USB and then try to boot from SSD drive, my boot options completely disappear. I had to force boot few times, and even to reset BIOS once to make it work again. I am using the legacy MBR partitions, as I have multiboot system. So I am not sure if the same problem occurs in UEFI mode. Furthermore, a number of options, which are listed in the manual, are missing from the boot menu. I have the latest firmware version installed on my board.Read full review

I started with this base put on a i7 8700k, a twin fan cpu cooler, an rtx 2070, for the moment 2 sticks of g.skill 8gb ram, a 10 yr old 1.5mb/s ethernet card, a 700w psu all wrapped in a cheap mid tower. Even though there are possibly better motherboards out there. The cost vs use-ability minus my cases inability to flow air which is decreasing the life span of the case daily, this motherboard has kept up with substandard cooling and minimal ram perfectly in the 40 degree ambient air temp would recommend on lashing out a few more $$ on liquid cooling and a full tower double the ram and an Ethernet card that’s less than 2 years old or a direct router connection. All in all a fairly great motherboard for the price.
