for those who may not want to read the whole review and just know the results my intel i7-4770 went from 40-45c at idle with the provided stock intel fan and at heavy lode would manage to get up to 100c with this particular fan at idle i sit between 32-35c and under heavy lode the cpu struggles to go past 70 after a long time of use perhaps 2 hours or so it can eventuially get as hot as 84c and so may not be suitable for overclockers or useres with heavy requirements on their machine :) beautiful quality works exactly as expected from a reputable brand like noctua. this fan on noctuas own website is rated inadequate for my particular cpu however so far even during heavy usage i have not been able to get my cpu to go verry far over the 76c peak operating temperature so it has outperformed my expectation anyone looking for a high end performance fan without spending a massive amount of money for their consumer end or even the novice workstation would be pleased by the performance and it also has the ability to be upgraded with a bigger fan and noctua provides support with free mounting brackets delivered to you if you wish to upgrade your mother board and still use your fancy noctua fan the packaging was great well wrapped no damage was sustained to the box despite bieng shipped from a large distance to me in australia the fan was very quiet much better than the stock fan verry pleased i will however note my one gripe the installation was a little bit of a pain for me personally because i had to remove the motherboard and install the mounting bracket from the back of the motherboard because my case had no back pannel other users may not have this issue but i feel like its important to note verry satisfied customer would buy again from this brand :) Read full review

At idle, the i7-7700k heats up till around 25 to 33 degrees Celcius where its ambient temperature at around 0 to 8 degrees Celcius (in CM Elite 110 casing). Just a tad cooler than intel stock cooler. More quiet than intel stock cooler when I was using it with i5-7400. Would recommend for anyone building an itx sized machine. Just don't expect the cooling be as good as tower cpu cooler like the CM Hyper 212. It is low profile. It would not interfere with ram and gpu placing for most motherboard.
