This new revised bonnet release cable design is great! My bonnet was stuck closed due to a broken cable and the back section of the fuse box broke while I was trying to get it open, but unlike the old cable this new one attaches from the front of the fuse box. It saved me having to replace the fuse box housing and is mounted much sturdier than the previous design. A+++ quality!

The hood release handle finally broke due to the force required to operate it. Unable to see where the cable went thru the firewall, I attached soft wire to the hood end of the cable and pulled it thru into the car. Then attached the new cable to the wire and pulled it back to the hood release catch. then I removed the catch for a clean and discovered it had been distorted when pressed together at manufacture. This had been the problem all the time...it was not the cable at all. I straightened the catch out and it now works just fine. Feedback 4 U.

Easy to replace with only minor skills need to install this updated item. Most difficult task is to remove the scrivits. ( about 15 of them ) To install you need to remove grill to remove the bonnet latch. Then remove the front right wheel together with the mud flap and inner plastic guard to access the clip holding the cable to the wiring loom inside the front guard. The handle easily clips in to the bottom of the fuse box. Cheer Stephen.
