Hi I do a lot of traveling around Australia and owning my Maverick from new I know about every 70,000 K the seal on the shaft gives way and starts leaking oil out the holes in the bottom of the pump, it still pumps fuel OK but makes a mess under the vehicle and anything thing I am towing let alone the chance of the engine running out of oil so I carry a spare when I go bush. I have thought of attaching two plastic tubes to the holes and feeding them into a plastic bottle to avoid the mess and save the oil or even attaching it to the engine some place to recycle the oil back into the engine so I don't have to do the replacement in some outback hell hole, may be soon. Any way may be you can engineer out this problem. I would be more than happy to discuss my thoughts with you. Regards Syd KnightRead full review
