These globe are exactly as described, bright and yellow, and that does limit their use to specific purposes. I'm sure there are jurisdictions where yellow headlights are permitted but based on the fact that these are only available from China my guess is that they aren't that common. That being said there are still reasons that one may want the distinctive beam emitted by these babies. I'm sure the "cool" factor sees them on Grand Theft Auto clones while drifting through a carpark. In my case it was to increase the conspicuity of my motorcycle in traffic. In these days of universal daytime running lights on cars the advantage of having motorcycle headlights permanently on has lost a bit of its edge. I have replaced one of the two front headlight globes on my motorcycle with a Fogbreaker and the contrast between the two adjacent lights is a bit of an attention grabber. Based on personal observation only and without any empirical evidence to back it up, my feeling is that it definitely makes the bike stand out both in traffic and on the highway. Studies show that most motorcycle fatalities are a result of a driver turning across the path of the motorcycle. Even if the Fogbreaker makes me only a little more visible, it still improves my chances of getting home safely. Horses for courses I suppose but as a technical product the Fogbreaker is a quality unit. Recommended.Read full review
