This is a highly portable laptop, lightweight but with good specs. There is a core i5 processor and 8GB of RAM with a spare slot which is easily accessible. The 256GB M.2 SSD is barely big enough to run Windows 10 Pro, but there is a spare 2.5 inch HDD bay, so I slotted a 500GB HDD in there for data storage. The battery is not removable and it doesn't look easy to get at either, so hopefully it will last a long while. The backlit keyboard is easy to type on, perhaps because they have left out a number pad. There is a large touchpad with no buttons but I haven't missed them yet. The 13 inch 16:9 display is sharp and easy to read. The large bezels shout, "This is not an Ultrabook". The webcam gives a better image than most I have seen even though it is only 720p. After six hours of windows and HP updates, it is all humming along very fast. Deleting all the patches and old windows installation recovered 35GB of disk space. I've used HP's recovery software to create a Windows 10 Pro installation USB disk, and will also try their Cloud Recovery Tool to create another as a spare. Some have had success running Windows 7 on this machine, and in the future I may try making it dual booting. For now, though, it is perfect to take away for a day's work without weighing down my luggage. Read full review
