This is the first Judas Priest album I ever heard, my older brother had it in his collection and although I wasn't keen on most of his stuff I found myself listening to this over and over and then sliping into my collection. This is raw and gutsy even listening today I still feel moved by the grinding guitars pounding bass and drums not to mention the versatile vocals of Rob Halford. It has it all from true heavy metal songs like delivering the goods and hell bent for leather through to almost top 40 stuff like evening star and the great ballad before the dawn. Rob looks mean and sounds it in this great priest album
