I do all my own repairs, whether to my 45 year old Spitfire, 33 year old Tercel or 5 year old CR-V. Got my first Haynes manual almost 40 years ago. Have had many more since. They have all been helpful and well written. Don't believe the reviews that say this current manual is not like the old ones. It is the same great info. Thank you to Haynes!

Most of this "repair manual" is filled with pages of generic information that is not needed nor useful. The repair sections are not detailed enough to provide adequate guidance and many required fastener torque values are not included. To be fair, much of the vehicle that this manual is supposed to provide repair detail for is relatively new variants of older versions but many details have changed with the driveline components, which were unusual to begin with in the earlier models. This manual is supposed to cover the year model of the CRV that this updated info is needed, and not provided by this manual.

Excellent details, descriptions and pictures. I don't have Civic; I have a CRV so I would pay the same price for book with CRV only. Simpler, would take up less room on my shelf.

It mostly just a basic knowledge manual . Not enough illustrations and info on one particular year of vehicle. But unfortunately the shop manuals of yesteryear are not be made anymore so I took a chance on this one. May be good for a shade tree mechanic but not for a lifelong mechanic...

I have used Haynes repair manuals before and find they are generally accurate. Not as detailed as shop manuals. But usually sufficient for the tree shade mechanic.
