I'm not really an expert on head units, but for the price (under $100) it seems to be a base model with Bluetooth capabilities. This is all I needed when considering an upgrade for my 1999 car that only had a factory CD radio! I have trouble sometimes going back to radio after using the phone connection features, but this may just be my novice capability!!! All in all, I am quite happy with my purchase as it sounds and looks great. Bonus feature is being able to remove the front facia from the car when it's parked up all day at work. For someone looking for a simple upgrade and is not too fussed about what other features you may get from a more expensive head unit, the JVC KD-X341 BT is perfect.
