Javier Marin: Corpus by Michel Draguet, Santiago Espinosa de los Monteros, Rosa Velasquez, Nestor Braunstein, Ery Camara, Adriana Martinez (Paperback, 2016)
Javier Marin's sculptures are the result of different time periods being melded together. Upon viewing their monumental volumes, it is t easy to decide whether they are an updated version of sculpture from classical antiquity or a return to modern sculpture from the nineteenth century. Jose Manuel Springer. This book is a review of two decades in the career of eminent sculptor Javier Marin, providing readers and viewers with an exceptional opportunity to analyse the variety of his work, including pieces that bear witness to his technical mastery and the aesthetic qualities and creativity that distinguish his sculptural works (different sizes in bronze, polyester resin and mixtures with different organic materials such as dried meat, amaranth grain, etc.). With its very high-quality images, this edition gives readers the chance to experience each of the textures in his works, which reinterpret and show a different dimension of the aesthetics of human anatomy, as a way of revealing many details, faces, busts, figures and fragments therein.
