Klaus Nomi is held up there in the pantheon of the greats for most artistes. So that is why I gave him a listen. It's not 'pop' music per se albeit is German. Think of Einsturzende Neubauten meets Kraftwerk on the way to an Bowie/Iggy Pop concert. That's as close an analogy as I can think of. It's sweet, sweet music; it's like a nightmare in a speechbubble that's been popped with a laser. It's a dream before sleeping and a sleep of dreaming. And Edith Piaff.
