One of the trendiest professions today is Life Coaching. Ellis' book is a step-by-step guide to breaking into the profession and becoming situated as a Life Coach. In that regard, the book is good. The writing is basic and straightforward and can serve as a primer to those interesting in pursuing that career. Some things need to be noted, however. Ellis is a salesman in the purest sense of the word. He is sold out to his profession, his clients, and this book. I doubt that many others would have the same fervor he does toward this career. He, in effect, is a "super agent" for his clients - always available to them, whatever their agenda may be and is at their bect and call 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Of course, since almost all his clients pay him around 100,000 and up a year, his earnestness is not be such a huge sacrifice. He admits that the field may be a bit elitest and does not apologize for that fact. However, one does not have to take the chase the same goals as Ellis. Whatever coaching mindset you choose, there may be something in the book helpful to you. Some may want to solo in this field while others may be therapists looking to add another service for their clients or potential clients. This book will give a glimpse at what may be required of the practioner.Read full review
