Too many children are diagnosed with learning disorders or are tagged as disruptive in the classroom (or home) when in reality these are children (and adults) who are truly gifted. They do not fall on the "average or below line" to which many teachers instruct, so are a challenge to those who prefer those who are compliant...little sponges...This is a valuable book, and I wish more administrators and teachers would read it. Too many, with one university class are quick to suggest medication in order to create a "manageable" child.
