It's great value for money and being able to play from USB stick, SD memory card, any bluetooth enabled device.. eg phones and tablets.. laptops etc.. plus being able to plug in any other kind of device.. computers, CD players etc.. makes this one of the best small systems at any price.. only con I see is the 2.1 version that occurs for most of these.. and 5.1 is only for input so designed.. it wouldn't have been hard to utilise all of the speakers for stereo.. just to fill room space if nothing else.. obviously not designed by a music lover.. anyway.. for less than $200 I doubt you'll find any device/speakers that satisfies like this.. I couldn't.

This was more if an experimental purchase to see what you get for $180. In a 5.1 sound system. Comments It has no optical input therefore true 5.1 ( separate channel) is not possible. Blutooth can not acclimate this. It does have rca Jack's that suggest 5 1 inputs..but just try to find an optical to 5 1 audio analogue...practically cant be done. So you are left with 2 or 4 speaker 2 channel stereo surround. The centre speaker seems to provide a mono sound. Also the speakers aren't great..sub is moderate. Its 160wattz is split between all 5 speakers and is measured on all speakers being driven to the max. ( pmo). But hold on..good for a PC sound...home theater no.

The control panel on the sub woofer is useless as the sub woofer is normally under a desk or at least not easily reached. These controls should be located on the centre speaker. The unit needs an optical input so it matches up with current TV audio output. You can't get 5.1 from a 3.5mm headphone jack! Given only 2 choices about sound quality I answered 'yes' but I haven't had the opportunity to listen to 5.1 surround sound. The remote, although flimsy, is its saving grace.

Bought this Logitech speaker system to replace a previous one I had that had stopped working and this unit is just rubbish by comparison, sound is very poor, the volume control on it is just rubbish and it's that poor they print the user manual on the packaging carton instead of printing a seperate user manual so that when you dispose of the carton you lose the owner instructions as well, just complete rubbish all round and I'm a longtime Logitech user but no more

Overall if you wanted a surround sound system there are much better solutions in this price range.
