Don't waste your money on this book. The whole of Tasmania map included is so small with so little detail that it is of no use for navigating. The book is very small - only 127 pages, by the time you take out the standard Lonley Planet blurbs, contents, legends, general info, indexes, full page colour photos, there's hardly any actual useful information between the covers. There is almost no detail on each trip/region/town and even key attractions that we found in many locations were not mentioned in the book. A lot of what is contained is out of date/inaccurate. As for the 'road trips' suggestions - get yourself a decent road map & use google and local information centres for free, up to date and accurate local knowledge. Save your $20 for some delicious Tasmanian wine during your visit!!Read full review
