As part of T-Bird Americana's two-fer series, pianist and composer Ronnie Milsap is spotlighted on the combined albums Lost in the Fifties Tonight and Heart & Soul, originally released on RCA in 1985 and 1987. This 19-track set includes numerous songs that placed on the country charts. Lost in the Fifties Tonight, Milsap's 17th studio album, produced four number one hits: "Happy, Happy Birthday Baby," "In Love," "How Do I Turn You On," and the title track. His follow-up album, Heart & Soul, contained the number one hits "Snap Your Fingers," "Where Do the Nights Go," and the Kim Carnes-penned "Make No Mistake, She's Mine," a duet with Kenny Rogers. Two other singles, "Old Folks," a duet with Mike Reid, and "Button Off My Shirt," made the Top Five. It's unfortunate that both albums had been out of print for several years, especially when considering the hit material they contained, but thanks to T-Bird Americana, both casual listeners and fans have another chance at owning them. ~ Al Campbell
