This thing is a beast. Not perfect by a long shot however it packs a huge amount of features and capabilities into a tough, mobile friendly, quality sounding form factor. It appears the Music Group_think is a powerful applied engineering philosophy across their brands these days. Build quality is solid (spent a few years on X32 before buying one and this is a step up), and for live music/theatre/broadcast applications I can't fault it much outside of my own workflow peccadilloes. The FX section is probably the weakest aspect, as they are a little lacklustre in general and in some cases a little knobbled for features. This critique however is really if comparing to high-end DAW or specialised type FX processors. In reality they are most satisfactory and easy to modify and access. One other constraint is not being able to route individual channels to any individual destination as some busses are paired or grouped by 8 channels. Still, you can soft patch PLUS the addition of various (optional) digital snakes covers the need for extra inputs/outputs. The M32R isn't as simple to get your head around initially as say the Soundcraft Impacts, Allen & Heath QU and Yamaha TF equivalents (I've 'crash' operated each brand) though I find most aspects of the M32R remain my preference.Read full review
