    Great tool for the price

At $220 odd this pole saw is great value. Quality of manufacture is very good for this price bracket, albeit there were a couple of minor issues I fixed. Engine starts easily, and has more than enough power to drive the chainsaw head. Chain oiler does not oil chain enough, seems to rely on chain speed to 'suck' oil from reservoir. Maybe my bar oil too viscous - will try lighter oil. Comments elsewhere indicate pole saw is heavy, however I would maintain no heavier than mainstream pole saws I have used in the past. Would prefer a better quality harness in lieu of accessories - gloves, goggles, gaiters, ear protection, etc.

Fizzer - complete waist of time

Looks great on paper but system is too heavy to be practicle, hedger with one extensiion is too cumbersome, chainsaw needs to be assembled. Complete waist of time unless you are very strong. System is too heavy. If you open box you cannot return item. If you don't open box you get charged restock fee $45 crazy.

  • Works well

...so far. I will have a far bit to cut yet so I can only hope it will last, or if the seller can supply spare parts for a low cost if something fails. Chain tensioning can be a bit tricky when I tighten the single nut that holds the bar, the chain can get tighter than the setting with the tensioner screw. Power is good, being a bit heavy is not a bad thing because the inertia stops it from jumping around, when you start the cut. I like the way the hook behind the bar catches the branch after the cut, so you can lower it safely down. When I first started to use it I felt rather clumsy but as with everything, practise make a master. Start lower branches first and get a feel for the thing and learn to make v-cuts so you can avoid wedging the bar when the branch is obstructed from other branches or nearby trees and can't break free. Make a rubber strap to keep that helmet on your head when you have to look right up to get to the higher branches.

  • Great product with a few tweaks

For the price, this is a fantastic pole chainsaw for light use. It is easy to assemble, well designed and easy to start and run. The only thing that lets it down is the quality control, as a few tweaks were needed to get it running well. The pull start was bolted together too tight and would not return, and required disassembly. And the auto-oiler was closed shut when delivered, and it was wound in so tight that I broke the screwdriver that came with the chainsaw trying to open it. The manual is easy to read by not very comprehensive - there was no mention on how to adjust the auto-oiler, only a mention that it had one. Having said all this, the engine is strong and easy to start, and the whole machine is very solid in construction. The bar is a little wobbly at full extension, but at 5+ metres that's to be expected. It's not 'pro use' as advertised in some places, but as a pruning saw to be used once every now and then, it's perfect.

  • Good saw!!

I'm very happy with the saw for price it is a bargain! If you had to hire one you might as well just buy this one! The only complaint which is minor is the kill switch is easily bumped as you raise the saw your hand naturally wants to slide up bumping the switch. It would be better if it slid the opposite way to shut it down. I'm also yet to decide if the chain is getting enough oil but for the money I can't complain to much. The saw does get weighty with all extensions but you would expect this at full length with a 62cc engine, no big deal. I would recommend it.

  • Good for the money

I was hesitant at first, but when the poll saw arrived I was quickly impressed with what it was for the price I payed. I've used it a few times now and wail it is on the heavy side it preforms really well and haven't had any problems cutting branches up to 80mm thick at 5 meters high. It is quite heavy to handle at that height though. But it dose the job, I think the key with this machine will be treat it carefully and not rough, remembering it's not a heavy duty 800 dollar plus! machine. So I think its good value for the home gardener who cant or doesn't want to spend big dollars on a high end commercial poll saw.

  • Buy one you won't be disappointed

For the money this machine is 10/10, I used this unit for 3 days and finally finished clean up my yard and this unit just did the job perfectly, i didn't even have to sharpen the chain. The saw started after 2 or 3 pulls and the motor has got plenty off power. Would i recommend it, YES.

  • Cheap saw but it’s fine

This pole is a cheap option. $140 delivered. Motor started easy and plenty of power. Chain saw end is average quality but oil and grease it up and it will do your basic jobs fine. Very heavy at full extension

  • What a handy gadget

Very easy to use, setup is a breeze, Although no where in the manual could I find what grade oil to use in the gear head. 10W-40W as per the website though. The motor is plenty big enough to drive the chain when in use. I used it on Palm leaf fronds, big ones as well, about the thickness on a 2-3 inch branch Why pay hundreds for the same item when you can pick this up for a fraction on the cost of a Named product, which in the end is doing the same job. As per the manual this is definitely a two man operation once you get more than 2 extensions on as it becomes quite hard to control and as such could become a safety issue quickly if using on your ewn. Well built, easy to start and assemble and once you get used to the operation it is an easy and handy tool to have in your shed.
