I found this book pretty dry. It was about Mary & Anne's life while they were in the French court. You follow Anne as she grows up and learns she has to watch her back at court plus she becomes aware of her sexual awakening.I believe the book could have keep a lot of the sexual encounters out. I struggled with it to get to the end.I never found an exciting plot within its pages. It just was not one of my favorite books written by Robin Maxwell.
Well written, easy read. Very interesting, presents a slightly different view of the Boleyns. The history of this era is defined by Henry's marital problems.
I bought this book to go a long with all the other books I have on Anne Boleyn and Henry VIII. It sounds like it is a good read.
