Author Biography
Caleb Baccus was born on September morning in 1979. He grew up in various parts of the brush country of South Texas, and fell in love with the varied landscapes of that great state; from its rugged hills to its winding rivers, from its pine woods to its huge plains. So it is strange, even to him, that despite his love of the countryside, he would end up living in the city of San Antonio. Caleb graduated from Jourdanton High school in 1998. He spent the next couple of years traveling from city to city trying to find where he would fit in. In 2002 he thought that he had discovered his niche (little did he know that he was horribly wrong). He enrolled in the culinary arts program at St. Phillips University, and also worked full-time in a four star restaurant called Bohannan's. After a couple of years of this he realized that he made a terrible mistake and had to remedy it. After leaving his Chef hat behind he turned to managing various restaurants. Not out of want but out of need; the need to have money. But in his off time he picked up again his favorite pastime in high school; writing. Since then he has written songs that have been recorded by a promising young musician named Jess Mills, including I Drink, Therefore I Am,The Night Life, and A Bunch of Losers. He has written short films for an indie film group called Red Rook Films. (Banana Boy, Christmas in the Middle of Nowhere, Jackie Boy) and has also written many poems and short stories.
