This book was recommended as one full of bread making tips. I found this to be true but embedded in the text, in other words you had to read the book to get the hints. It is easy reading if you have had some experience of trying to make bread. The index is not 100% complete but the chapters are numerous, short and have descriptive headings. The book was written 34 years ago (1983) and some newer methods, tools etc may exist. However this book concentrates on the fundamentals and gives good basic explanations.

This is a very handy book for home bakers written in simple text and easy to follow. Reading through this inspires budding bakers to have a go, with no special skills needed. It has taken pride of place on my bookshelf!

This was a disappointing book. The author clearly does not understand gluten free and what grains are and arent GF. As I purchased this book for a specific purpose of making sour dough gluten free bread - it was most disappointing.
This book contained recipes able to be undertaken by the home cook, easy to read, pick up and browse and have good outcomes
