I bought this book after trying lots of diets. I don't have the time or money for expensive diet clubs or personal eating trainers. I had heard good and bad things about this eating plan, but as I had to do something urgently, gave it a go. This book is just not a heap of meals although there are sample menus to get to to understand things. It actually tells you what the foods you are currently eating are doing to you, and advises you what to eat if you are really wanting to slim down. I found that it is best to read the whole book before you start, and if you think you can do it,the go through your pantry and give all the stuff away that you know you shouldn't have for a while. It makes you feel good just to clean out the pantry, and then do the same with the fridge and freezer. The hardest thing I have given up is bread, I just love the stuff, and having a bread maker makes it all the more difficult, but 4 weeks down the track I couldn't care less about bread at all now. I did not loose 6 or 7 kgs is 2 weeks, I do think that would be extreme, but in 4 weeks I have lost 5.5kgs and I feel much better. I realise now that I have an intolerance to gluten, not an allergy, but an intolerance, because I feel so much better without it. I now do not eat anything that is processed in a "factory". The book will explain it all to you, you can refer to it when ever you want. I take it in my bag with me when I go out and it helps with shopping. The book is definitely a help if you are really wanting to re educate yourself on eating. I plan on using it always, and my family are all doing this with me and they hardly realize it. Buy the book, read it and try it. I was very sceptacle but it was well worth the money.Read full review
