Designed with sports photographers and photojournalists in mind, the Nikon D3 Camera offers brand new features and technologies. It incorporates Nikon's new EXPEED Image Processing System that is central to the blazing speed and processing power needed for many of the device's new features. Photos taken with this camera reflect overall quality, broad tonal range and depth, along with extremely low-noise throughout its normal ISO range of 200 to 6400. By setting the camera to its built-in options of Lo-1 or Hi-2, the ISO range of the camera can be expanded to the equivalent of ISO 100 or ISO 25600 respectively, offering unmatched versatility in practically any shooting situation. This camera also features an entirely new 51-point autofocus system with Nikon's 3D Focus Tracking feature and two new LiveView shooting modes that allow photographers to frame a photograph using the camera's high-resolution LCD monitor. In addition, it uses the world's first Scene Recognition System to enhance the accuracy of autofocus, auto exposure, and auto white balance detection in the camera by recognising the subject or scene being photographed.

Fantastic classic now affordable
This is an amazing camera that has now become affordable. Takes great photos even with the older nikkor manual lenses and is built to last. If you know your way around any modern nikon dslr it is easy to use and has an awesome view finder. The auto focus is still as good as any current prosumer camera and won't disappoint. If you can find a Nikon D3 that has been well looked after I would highly recommend giving it a consideration.
