A great film, outstanding, it should be one of Jim Jarmuschs most famous films, right up there with Dead Man

So I didn't know much about this movie apart from the fact that it had Tom Hiddleston and Tilda Swinton in it, and it was about vampires. It had received some negative criticism from viewers, many of whom deemed it too slow and often didn't finish watching it. I'm normally the impatient kind of viewer - if nothing is happening and the characters are dull, I'll be bored till the end and dismiss what I'm watching. However, even though this movie might lack in character development and a fast pace, it does such a great job with everything else that you stay engaged. I can pick out a few scenes that I still remember seven months on, and they were engaging because of the costumes, the actors, the setting, the cinematograpy. The music in this film shouldn't go unmentioned either. It all pulls together to keep you watching. If anything, there is a scene towards the end that could have been cut a little so that we could have spent more time watching Adam and Eve's relationship play out in flashbacks or something like that. If you're looking for a gory sex-fest filled with terror and drama and violence, then this is not the film for you. I've seen quite a few different vampire films and this has to be one of the best. So watch it at least once and reserve your judgement for the end.Read full review
