the battery powered toothbrush is a great idea. It eliminates the need for a base charger to be constantly plugged in consuming power even when it's not needed. the concept of running on AA x 2 batteries is excellent as they are available anywhere. I prefer the rechargeable to the throw away type. High quality batteries will last about 3 months per charge. The device is able to use all the standard oral-b brush heads. I wish they were available in Australia.

This toothbrush is fantastic for taking away on holidays, because I don't need to worry about the charger. It's also great for my small bathroom, where cords are a nuisance. Only problem is getting replacement heads for it. They don't exist.

God product, Very Cheap, no charger necessary, it has replaceable batteries, so you can use it untill the device breaks down and not because the internal battery needs charging or is totaly dead.

I've had 3 rechargeable units - each cost $200 +, and the battery only lasts 2-3 years. - now I use rechargeable batteries and the unit only cost about $20! Very happy

It works well. Just keep checking that water doesn't get into the battery compartment. The O-ring does eventually wear. Last one I had lasted for years but on occasions I had to clean the battery terminals with isopropyl alcohol as batteries got wet and started to leak. A good habit is to wipe the brush handle after use with a bath towel.
