The images are sharp I have no negatives to say about it and if you buy it I think you will be happy. I can't say too much as I seldom use it, not because there is anything wrong with it but I have other lens that are more suitable for me

This is a very lightweight non-zoom lens. I have used it for practice photos around the house only but it performs without a hitch. It gives about the same view as a human eye. Auto Focus is quick but manual more fun. As I said, I've only played with it nothing serious but the manual functions are super easy to use with this relatively simple lens. I will be using this for long exposure night time photography in the near future. So far I would readily recommend it as is just dead set simple to use. I have a few other zoom lenses and this one is very different. If I want the subject bigger I have to get closer, it is a wider field of view.
This is by far my widest aperture lens. It has a good build and has beautiful bokeh. I have found that with my camera given that it is a crop sensor though I have to really take a step back from what I am shooting, especially with portraits. The lens also has a fairly large minimal focusing distance.
It was a replacement for my old 50mm that I killes in Cambodia it is one of my most used lenses that I have
