A bit of mucking around to get it to work. Both transmitter and receiver were very fussy. Transmitter stopped operating when Telstra TV Box was on. Had to move it 60 cm away from it. Receiver when it was close to standard Foxtel decoder the remote would ok when in another room but wouldn't work in the same room as the decoder. It took a lot of mucking around to get that problem working. Saying that, it all works well, as long as I don't move anything.

Bought this item few weeks ago, the only problem that I have encountered was when you are at the main unit it diverts the Ir signal so its hard to use the remote the IR receiver, and need to be turn off to enable your remote to work properly at the main unit. No prob whatsover at the receiver.

Setting up the IR emitter on my Foxtel IQ2 was tricky. Had to position it just right so it did not interfere with the Foxtel remote control commands. This took a lot of trial and error.

I use this unit to control my Foxtel unit from another room. Took a few minutes to get the transmitter and reciver in the best positions. i.e. they face the hand held remote and the Foxtel box. Once this was done they work perfectly. The units are about 15mtrs apart and are separated by two plaster walls.

Also works on Foxtel IQ4. Examples: Running multiple TV's of one DVD player and needing to use an infrared remote control in a bedroom to control PLAY STOP etc..
