It is very fast even faster than the built in SSD drive of my fast laptop. Small size and two USB type connector cables, it is my GO TO device for storing important files. My 1TB Unit serves as a good secondary storage as my laptop only has 500GB of built in SSD storage. It is very very expensive though. It was excellent value for money when it was priced under A$200 last year.

All advertising insists this drive is plugged and play for Mac. This is a lie. Had to re format both drives, the initial software just got in the way Samsung support, could not find the problem, (two calls 1hour each). Apple found the problem in five minutes. Samsung support need better training on at least the major issues.

Love the Samsung T5 SSD 1TB!! Its not cheap but if you want something compact and need to transfer large files regularly then you will love it. Very impressed with transfer rate and how small it is. Being able to connect directly to android phone and transfer files is a great feature too (USB C to micro USB cable required and not included)

My experience with the Samsung T5 1TB has been great. Working in the IT industry it has helped speed up the desktop migrations I do from time to time. Also backup restoration with many backup chains has been much faster to work with. Love it!
