A very good phone that is a joy to use, full of features, brilliant display and great internals

Good price. A little smaller than I would have liked (hard for big hands) Android 8 system is not very user friendly ... nothing is easy to find or set up. Also different to the internet tutorials The system could have been so, so much easier. Haven't yet installed the sim card to try calls - I hope they are good as a phone's job is to make call not take self indulgent pictures

Don't buy this phone if you intend to use it in Australia. It does not support band 28 on 700 mhz (used by optus, telstra). Out of the box I could not even receive 3G reception, meaning the phone was useless indoors. I had to flash the SM-G930U universal USA firmware, which at least gave me 3G reception on 900 mhz (optus) so it works indoors now (3G only!). To get 4G reception (1800, 2600 works), I have to go outside. My mistake for not checking but there are many 700 mhz bands so be careful before you buy if it is too cheap to be true there must be a reason! Apart from the frequency issue it's a good phone can't complain about any other part of it.

The mobile works well and I consider it quite good value. The ad said "Swollen batt" which I didn't really understand. The effect was not very noticeable, just one side of the case slightly separated. A couple of judicious drops of super glue made that ok. The battery life is not very good (about 24 hours) but that is not a significant problem for me.

The screen needs to be more sensitive. You just about need to hit it with a hammer to activate anything pressed. I downloaded an app for it and it is still better but not as good as my old J2pro which was half the price. I disable pretty much all the Samsung apps as well as others that I do not need and I constantly look for apps that are running in the background. The only 2 running constantly is lookout, Pedometer to count my steps and I still start running out of battery by late afternoon and I am retired now and don't use it all that much.
