I'm overall really happy with these headphones. While I bought them with a large discount, there are a few nit picky issues that would make me unhappy with them if I'd paid the original $300 price tag. - Touch controls activate without being touched in cold weather. - Where the band meets the ear cups is a bit "creaky" and sometimes makes noise when moving your head or jaw. At least mine do, but I have a pretty large head and wide jaw. - While comfortable, I find other products in the price range to be more comfortable. The inside of the ear cups isn't quite as roomy as the Bose QC 35 for example, and my ear is always touching some part of the inside of the ear pads. ( but again, my head [ and ears ] are pretty large. ). On the positive side - Connectivity via bluetooth is solid. - Sound quality is good. - Active noise cancellation is very solid. There are products with better, but I find these hold their own.Read full review

Pros: good noise cancellation, interface with the outside of the headphones is convenient Cons: more bulky than other NC headphones, sound quality is average (not as good as any mid or high end Bose headphones), not much base, doesn't quite fit around my head as well as other brands

I'm quit the audiophile and have a collection of headphones and these are my favorite to date. I have the Beats Studio Headphones and though they are great these have a much more immersive sound with better ambient noise isolation. These also have a much clearer bass sound with great highs and mods. The App enabled equalizer is definitely an added bonus that The Beats could really use. As far as comparing these to the Bose these are right on par with them with one added advantage better Bass punch. this is where Bose always seem to drop the ball. It's as if Bose think all music should be Jazz or Classical. I love this genre too but I also love screaming, thrashing guitar as well as heart pounding bass. One other thing. The newer Sony Headphones in this series does't really offer much as far as an upgrade so save your money purchase these and wait for that insane PRICE to come down. Read full review

I like them, but bought used. I probably wouldn't pay full retail price for these or any of the higher end noise cancelling models though. My company provides the similar Bose QC model for use in the office and I like the Sonys more. The swipe control feature is nice. Haven't really noticed a difference in sound quality myself.

The ambient noise adjustment is great and the noise canceling feature is better than I expected. The sound quality great even at high volume it is clear and crisp and the battery life is also quite good. Sony does not disappoint!
