I prefer a flat tamp but curved will do. Good value buy with good weight to it. Works well, just wish it was clearer that this is a curved base tamper not a straight flat one for those with a preference either way.

High quality product, however, the outside edge of the base is curved/rounded, which causes your ground coffee to force up at the edges upon tamping, this causes issues with mounting the filter basket to the group head. The edges need to be square. Quite disappointing really.

This tamper is of one piece construction made from polished stainless steel. It looks good and and it makes me look good using it. Coffee tamping is serious business as is coffee drinking so this product is seriously good. The 51 mm diameter fits our Delonghi machine perfectly.
