Born in New York of Puerto Rican descent, Terri traveled to the island with her mother in 1990. Her curiosity about the origin of the people who lived there originally, peaked. Who were they, and where did they come from? She found her Latin roots came from the native Taino. Since then, she desired to write a story illustrating these fascinating inhabitants. Terri and her husband reside in the Denver area. She is also the author of a supernatural novel, The Making of Angels.
