There is probably no better tool in its price range than this for separating plastic model parts from their sprues, especially those tiny parts that are easily damaged in the removal process. The fine blades and sharp points enable one to get really close to the part and the tool can even be used for snipping the remainders of sprue gates from parts after their removal. Be advised, though, that this is a tool for delicate work and not suitable for cutting through thick styrene like the sprues themselves, or for cutting metal parts. Treat it with the due care any good tool deserves and it will last.
