Haven't had it for long, but it is easy to use, and quiet. Seems sturdy, and durable. The only things I don't like about it is the base plate is a little small, which means my gas burner heats the edges, rather than the plate; and the pressure indicator is a little hard to see. But it seems to be good value for money.

This pressure cooker works well but the pot is 22cm in diameter with a small 15cm laminated base. This is too small for the biggest burner on my Gas stove which means it takes a long time to get up to pressure on the smaller burner. Tefal says this pressure cooker is suitable for all cooktops but clearly it's less suitable for some Gas stoves. No-one can tell me the engineers at Tefal didn't know about this when they designed it - they were obviously more concerned about cost cutting than producing a quality pot with a decent base. All of my normal pots have bases that are essentially the same size as the pot diameter and when you have a large 8L pressure cooker with a lot of food you need a wide base. I bought this cooker from the marketing images and had no opportunity to see one in a physical store. The marketing brochures do not show the base and I wouldn't have imagined it would be so undersized. You can do better next time Tefal - I'd rather have spend $20 more for a decent base so stop economising at your customers expense. Other than the above, once the pressure gets up to pressure it does an adequate job. It's just that if it takes too long to get up to heat on a small burner then it's defeating one of the purposes of a pressure cooker which is to efficiently cook food in a short period of time.Read full review
