As an historical document this set is an indispensable fragment of Dylan's career-the year he went electric. The quality of the recordings is remarkably good, especially considering not all were sound desk recordings. The performances themselves are intriguing. From the first concerts in Australia you can hear Dylan become more confident in performing with a band. The first few electric sets you get the impression his fold back wasn't working as his vocals are a little rough as though he can't hear himself (or perhaps it’s just a liberation and youthful exuberance) Days and days of listening an essential part of the Dylan journey and myth
