I am a hardcore horror movie fan and I kept getting told how good "The Blair Witch Project" is. I purchased it on BluRay then I finally watched it and all I can say is wow, what an overhyped piece of junk. I haven't seen a horror film that has absolutely nothing happening till I saw this film and I'm not exaggerating when I say nothing because this film has literally nothing going on. The acting is all over the place and way too hard to describe. The story or lack there of is, a bunch of teenagers go to small town searching for a local legend known as the Blair Witch in hopes of documenting it with their camera. The acting in this film was supposedly real and honestly it reminds me why we don't act natural in films and most of the dialogue was improvised. When I say nothing happens in this film I'm being dead bloody serious. This film is bland with nothing going on and an extremely underwhelming ending. I understand a film doesn't have to have heaps going on to be good but it has to at least have something. This film is literally the worst film of all time, yeah that's right it beats "Ghostbusters" (2016) as the worst of all time. The video quality was always bad because it was filmed with a standard definition Rca Hi-8 Camcorder which really can't be up-converted much. It looks pretty bad just like "28 Days Later" but there is no way this BluRay was going to come close to looking decent. The picture is so grainy and soft that it's basically unwatchable. It actually looks more like an upscaled version of the DVD rather than a remaster. The audio is a DTS-HD 2.0 Master Audio track that sounds just as bad as the video looks. It's just so flat and it gets tedious because all the film is yelling and screaming. I seriously think this is the worst audio I have heard from a BluRay ever. Just hearing screaming over and over again with such god awful sound quality gives me a serious migraine. This film is a horrible mess that can't even be described with words. I'm so tired of these overrated horror films that get praise for nothing. This BluRay has awful video quality and really bad sound quality. If you want to see a good found footage film I suggest you buy "As Above, So Below" or "Grave Encounters" as they are much better films as well as being really good horror films in general as wellRead full review
