I loved the story. I was mesmerized from the first to the last page. The over 400 year journey that this wondrous work of art, by the great Raphael, was to travel was so thrilling; It held my attention to the end. Joanna Pitman did a great job writing the story, I only hope it is made into a movie. Starting with the lives of Raphael and Michelangelo, St. George's Dragon was sent on a journey through the lives of King, Queens, noble men and some not so noble; and then onto a near disastrous ending during the Russian Revolution. The would recommend this to everyone, even those who find reading about history boring. Pitman arranges the story and writes in such a way you won't find this boring at all.
