Author Biography
Maria B. Lostoski is a music teacher and children's song composer living just outside Washington DC with her husband and three children. In 1987 she began teaching music at Norwood School, a private K-8 school in Bethesda. Maria has also written several other musical programs for pre-school through grade 2, including A Day on the Farm, The Mammal Family, and Bugs! She has had a life-long interest in the folk song repertoire of America and beyond. Her productions frequently intersperse these well-known tunes with her own compositions, which are naturally steeped in folk idiom.
