Dreadful, boring movie

I read the book many years ago and was quite taken with it as it involved espionage, spy catching, intrigue and the usual good against the bad. The scene is set in and around Cairo during WW2 which gives it a bit of mystery and highlights the back stabbing and double dealing that occurs during war time. It further points out the fact that one does not know who is friend or foe. Definitely a good tale. Video and audio very good compared to many others.
This is a scary story which has everything - Excitement, Love and some violence. The central character is ruthless and obsessed but Cliff Robertson is determined and focused. I have seen it many times and I have never been bored. They don't make movies like this any more, all story and characters with no special "computer" effects.
