Great all in one LOTR for collectors and fans but HEAVY
Regarding the LOTR :The Lord of the Rings : Illustrated Slipcased Edition by J.R.R. TOLKIEN A great volume, containing the fully updated and revised text. Also contains lovely illustrations by Alan Lee. His water colours are much in the same vein as Tolkien illustrations for The Hobbit. The only negatives are: 1) This volume is very HEAVY and not really suitable for reading while on the go. 2) There is no large fold out maps as per the original hardcovers. But a great volume for all Tolkien fans and collectors.
