Author Biography
Katherine Gordon Rice has been studying art and painting for over forty years, with artists/teachers such as Diane Jones, Tasso Pitsiri and Scott Christensen. She has worked in prestigious galleries, as an art editor for newspapers, as a private art instructor, and as an advocate for the arts and arts education. Rice has won numerous awards, and her work hangs in public and private collections across the U.S. and Europe, including the Omniplex Museum in Oklahoma City. Her work has been featured in SW Art and Art Calendar Magazines, among others. Several documentaries have been produced about her work, notably the nationally-syndicated About the Arts aired on WGBH, Boston. She can regularly be heard on KCUB/KATX All Texas Radio, speaking about current events in the arts and advocating for arts education.
