The Moon Is a Harsh Mistress, by Robert A. Heinlein, is a classic piece of the Science Fiction master's work. Fans that read Heinlein spanning the many decades over which he wrote, are quick to recognize that "Mistress" was conceived right in the middle of a shifting point in the master's career. It was in the sixties that Heinlein allowed more of his personal philosophy to peek through the characters and plots of his many stories. "Mistress" is a perfect example of Heinlein's staying power. Originally penned in in 1965, this and his other wonder stories are still being sold, read and re-read well into the 21st century. Heinlein motivated many authors (including yours truly) to write a much better product. This is a wonderful addition to my personal library. WHD 2008
This is one of the best SyFy books ever written. I read this book 30 years ago. It was nice to reread it.

Read it decades ago and was thinking of recommending it to next generation family members. Wanted to read again for sexism, racism, whatever before passing it along to younger crowd. Hold up really well.

Heard about this book from The Corbett Report and thought I should read it. It's definitely timely as there is a lot of talk about artificial intelligence these days.
