Oscar Wilde, wisely observed that some [his] literature was written for persons whom enjoyed the phenomenon of remaining [mentally] youthful.... C.S.Lewis and Enid Blyton, also told stories for this wonderful group as did Kenneth Graham. As a sixty five year old, and an emotional 'Peter Pan', I identify with a segment of the target group who would enjoy Graham's classic. That is not to say that I am lacking in Emotional Intelligence , rather that the enjoyment I [and others like me] draw from reading such literature arises from our 'forever young' attitude towards life. Pleasant mix of nostalgia, warm winter fires, soft rugs before a rusted heat hardened hearth and the companionship of the family sat around the pre-bedtime radio radio are elicited by such books as these.
