The formula is EXACTLY the same as the last two albums. I kid you not, I love Amity but this album is dreadful. Every song has the same basic structure, the choruses all sound identical. I've listened about 10 times and I still can't remember more than the first two songs, which are OK compared to the rest. The balad of the album "All F*cked Up" is one of the worst songs I've heard all year. The annoying, boring phone message makes another unwelcome appearance. The subject matter is the same as ever, emo lyrics, depressing themes of suicide, funerals, depression etc. It's grown very stale, Amity make have grown in age but they haven't evolved musically at all and they haven't grown with their original fan base. They seem determined to write the same album over and over. You will feel ripped off after buying this album, I had such buyers remorse and despite my best efforts this album won't grow on me at all. Really hoping they change their sound up next time. Ahren needs to take a back seat or get some lessons on songwriting or experiment or SOMETHING. Something drastically needs to change. Sorry Amity, big fan since the start but I have no choice but to rate this album a measley 2/10. It's irritating and forgettable. Read full review
