Overall as an OEM replacement it works perfectly. Pulled the old switch out and bunged in this one and my reverse light comes on once again. I guess it's just typical of car parts that spares cost a lot, even if they are small and basic. My car was a 2008 LT Ford Focus (6 speed manual). Installation is easy. Pull the cover off the engine and locate the switch under the airbox on top of the gear box to the right of the engine. There is a plug clipped in with wiring. Stick the car in second gear (moves the selector arm out of the way) then locate the switch on top of the gear box. Looks exactly the same as the new one! Remove the wiring but pressing down on the tab and pulling out. Use a shifter to unbolt the old switch, put the new one in, tighten and plug the wiring into it. Give it a test then put the engine cover back on. Job done.Read full review
