A nice overview of the career of Chicken Shack, part of the British blues boom of the late sixties. Key to the band's success was the presence of singer-pianist Christine Perfect, later McVie and of Fleetwood Mac. She had a remarkably effective vocal style and scored a chart hit with a version of Etta James's I'd Rather Go Blind. Guitarist Stan Webb took his lead from Freddie King and played with gusto and humour. Chicken Shack were a band not to overlooked in any appreciation of British blues.
