I'm 85 years old and spent many years as a programmer and Systems Analyst. I always tried to write procedures as if the person knew nothing about the product. Luckily, this was not one of those procedures, but I still found it difficult to what I was looking for. On the good sign, it was well-organized but perhaps I should have been looking at more of a beginner's book. I have had my desktop computers for 13 years and perhaps, getting so acclimated to XP and not even having a smart-phone, I'm just too far gone. These are great books, but probably not for me. It makes me wonder how I'm able to "get along" with the "new world" we have now.

This book has lots of information but no details. It claims to be written for seniors. I am in my middle 80's and the book is worthless to me. It has no details or instructions to do many of the tasks that I have problems understanding. I was not raised in the computer age and I have problems understanding how and why. The cover of the book is a big lie.

With pictures. Sent this to my husband's mom. She loves how well everything is broken down. She was on a laptop from 07 that was really outdated but, given her age (mid 80's), she was afraid of change. With this book, she's 'getting it'.
