About us

The Candelo Service Station is one of the last traditional roadside petrol stations in Australia. It has been serving the village of Candelo in NSW since the 1880s, with its triple shopfront hosting a range of businesses (draper, men's outfitter, part-time barber, butcher, and the village billiard saloon) over the years, until a returned digger established a garage and petrol station here in 1947. These days in addition to fuel and automotive needs the Servo sells an eclectic range of antiques, collectibles and vintage goods as well as merchandise featuring Furphy, our Australian Cattle Dog, who can be found snoozing under the counter on most days. Our stock changes constantly and we have many more items than we can list online, so if you are looking for any particular treasures, send us a message!
