About us

I am a contemporary impressionist artist, working with various media (oil, acrylic, watercolour, graphite, ink) but am predominantly an oil painter. I’ve studied with a number of top Australian artists and developed a style of my own which incorporates loose brushstrokes and knife work. I’m captivated by the eternal dance of light and shadow across a variety of subjects. I tend to paint in themes or series, ranging from landscapes, seascape, cityscapes, still life, farm scenes, horses and cattle, old vehicles, boats and human figures.

I paint both in my studio in south east Queensland and also en plein air. I often do outdoor studies which can be transposed to larger works in the studio. I’m also a keen outdoor sketcher and take my sketchbook with me everywhere.

I use only professional grade materials finished to a high archival standard. They come with my Certificate of Authenticity complete with my personal wax seal. Work is carefully packed for protection during shipping.
