  The base unit does not work! It just "hums" when pressure is placed on the drive shaft. The juicer was properly packaged, but it could have been damaged in transit. I contacted the seller and he was willing to make an acceptable deal with me. He offered a refund for the base unit and I keep all the parts even with the discount. It may be possible for me to find another base at a future listing on Ebay. This is a great seller and he is willing to resolve problems quickly and reasonably.
